i’m out of reason to believe in me

Walking down a street of the town square, ‘The Gift’ by Seether blaring in his ears - though quite unheard by the few people around him - Tyler wasn’t in one of his best moods. He still had yet to pick up his prescriptions, and so, here he was. Zoned out, feeling depressed, and running into people. Well, he was zoned out, you have to remember, and he thought they weren’t there. He muttered a quick sorry and continued on his way after bumping into another person, biting down on his lip to try to regain his conscienceness [sp?]. He pushed his iPod back down into his pocket, further than it already was, so that it wouldn’t fall out and break on the pavement. He’d figured out how to work it now, and, despite the fact that he still loathed it, he wouldn’t break it quite yet, because hey - it still played music.

Tyler sighed, stuffing his hands into his pockets. He peered out from under his hair, and for the first time since he’d gotten to the town square, actually looked at his surroundings. He saw that there were few people out, because, after looking at the sky, found that it was looking as if it was about to rain. No worries for Tyler, he loved the rain, and he had a hoodie on, so not like it would bother him anyway.

Groaning a bit as he bumped his shoulder against a metal sign, that he hadn’t noticed, Tyler sighed, looking at his stupidity. Okay, so he could have ran into it face first, but no, he’d just hit his shoulder. So he was okay. But...he was still stupid in the fact that, he hadn’t looked. Okay, quit it, quit it, quit it! Tyler thought to himself, finding a bench and sitting down in it. He gritted his teeth, taking a deep breath as he forced himself to quit calling himself stupid. Just because he didn’t have his meds, didn’t mean that he should be all depressed. Okay, so he had a condition, but he shouldn’t let that depress him even more. I mean.. he had to take his pills twice a day just to keep this part of himself down. And he hated this part of himself.

i’m out of trying to get by

Sitting on the sidewalk and staring at the world walk by and continue with its lives. The thin frame of a female on the ground, curled up with her ankles crossed and knees pulled up to her chest, was noticeable by the thin navy dress that fell to her knees, black motorcycle boots upon her feet, and her loose dark hair that moved every time someone walked swiftly by. Hazel eyes looked at the world in front of her - her eyes quickly scanning whatever she could see without moving her head all too much. Analyzing and understanding the people around her, trying learn more about them all.

An opened notebook and a pen lay on the bench a few feet behind her. Drawings, sketches, and a word every few spaces were on the notebook. All of these drawings were made hours earlier - none of them were current with the moment. Some of them were of the shops, some of the people, some random moments from her, and a few other things. Some offensive or graphic drawings and words, some not. A notebook of thoughts, one might say.

Who was this? The girl saw a male run into a sign from the corner of her eyes, then she heard the male walk over and sat on the bench that was behind her. Walking into that sign looked like it was painful. "Is everything alright? I noticed that you walked into the sign - it looked a bit painful." Cassiopeia, the girl, asked, not moving to look at the male.

Tyler shifted on the bench, sitting Indian-style on the bench. His hair - which he was thinking about cutting, right about now - fell into his eyes, and he tilted his head to the side, allowing him to see everything with a clear line of vision. He bit his lip, rubbing his shoulder a bit, sitting hunched over slightly with his elbows on his knees. Had the light been better, and had he not been wearing a hoodie, he’d have been able to check his shoulder to make sure there was no serious damage. But, being without his meds for those few days, he wasn’t really, oh, in his right mind. He looked up as he heard someone speak.

Uhm.. Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.

He said, shrugging his uninjured shoulder. He cracked a smile, which was odd, and nodded to her lightly. But he continued to bite his lip, but anxiousness got to him, and he took off his hoodie, setting it on the bench beside him. His originally maroon notebook fell out of it’s pocket, but he didn’t really care at that point, as he was more worried about his shoulder. At least it was his right shoulder - he wrote with his left hand - but still, it hurt, just a bit. When lifting the fabric from his shoulder didn’t work, because of the lighting - damn the lighting, damn it! - he tried rolling up his sleeve, which worked to an extent. Damned tight shirts. Why did he have to buy them?

Tyler sighed, either he would have to partially take his shirt off, or he would have to live with not being able to see the bruise, which, if not beginning to form already, would be there soon. He bruised easily, because of his fair skin tone, and he hated it. He walked into doors, on accident, for God’s sake, and people asked him if he was abused at home.. He was nineteen. He didn’t live at home. Did he really look sixteen or seventeen, as people had told him before? He didn’t know.

Standing from the bench, he picked up his notebook and a few papers that had fallen out. One was folded into an odd pattern: he stuck that one in his back pocket, not needing to be reminded with what it said. Stuffing the rest of the papers back into the notebook, Tyler picked up his hoodie and put it back on before putting the notebook back into the pocket in the front of his hoodie. Then he realized that he had heard the girl sitting on the ground, and he took out the ear buds.

Damn thing, I knew you’d break!

Tyler cursed, taking the iPod out of his pocket and throwing it onto the ground. It shattered with a pleasant crack, and he shook his head, running a hand through his hair. He looked to the girl and turned a faint pink colour, embarrassed. He bit his lip, looking way slightly.

[ooc; t’is okay. ^^ we all know how it goes, it happens. ;D]

“That’s good to hear. Hopefully you’re not banged up and bruised too badly.” Cassiopeia said, her voice in monotone. Within a few swift moments of listening to movement behind her, Cassiopeia quickly grabbed her notebook and pen from behind her, wrote something down quickly, then placed the notebook behind her again. Before turning back to face the street, she looked at the male she had been talking to, her face showing no expression. She hadn’t seen him around this area yet, and she had been sitting on the sidewalk sense about two in the morning. She grabbed the notebook again, drew a quick sketch of what she could see of the male’s face, then placed the notebook back down on the bench. Instead of turning to face the street, she continued to look at the male.

Yelling at machinery? Hm. “Having a bad day?” Cassiopeia asked. She gave a small smile when the male turned pink. “I’ve never been able to work well with machines once they were broken, either. But I can find out why it was broke in the first place.” She slowly reached out to pick up the iPod, hoping to figure out what was wrong with it before it met the ground.

I don’t think I am, at least not to badly. There’ll be a bruise for sure though, I already know that.

Tyler shrugged as he answered the girl, he didn’t know her name yet. He watched her catch the iPod and silently wished her luck with it - he always had bad luck with small things that needed batteries, except for CD players, because those were medium sized, not small. He sighed, biting his lip again as he tried to ignore her writing in the notebook. Okay, she’d done that before he saw her catch the iPod, but oh well. Even with his meds Tyler was highly paranoid.

Good luck trying to figure it out, the thing hates me, it might work for you though.

He added, nodding to her. He shrugged his shoulders again and looked over his shoulder momentarily, his paranoia getting the best of him - again. Damn you paranoia. Tyler mentally cursed, sighing.

“Hm” was Cassiopeia’s response once she had the iPod in her hands. A confused look lay upon her face as she removed the batteries from the machinery, then began to fiddle around with it. “Has it been dropped or tossed around a lot in the past? Maybe something was rattled out of place. How long has it been broke?” Cassiopeia said, her eyes not really leaving the open and dead music player in her hands.

“What other problems have there been with it in the past?” This time, Cassiopeia looked to the male when she spoke, catching him looking over his shoulder. “Looking for someone, or frequent paranoia?” She asked as she looked back down to the computer-like parts of the iPod, pretending to seem as though her eyes never left the iPod in the first place. Cassiopeia continued to look down to the computer-like parts of the iPod, moving a wire or a part every now and then before placing it back together again, trying to figure out what was wrong. Well, what was majorly wrong was that it was cracked from falling upon the pavement, but she was trying to figure out the first reason why it broke – the reason before the iPod met the ground.

After giving a small sigh, Cassiopeia shifted to a crossed-legged position and placed the iPod on one of her knees, leaving both of her hands open. With one hand she grabbed her pen while the other grabbed the notebook and opened it to a clear page. After placing the notebook on the ground beside her, she started drawing the computer parts of the iPod, one layer at a time, almost an exact replica of the actual thing, with her eyes never leaving the iPod.

“It’s interesting the way this was build. Each thing connecting to each other, relying upon each other. Break one wire and – even with the batteries completing the circuit and being her beating heart – she can just die.” Cassiopeia said with her head tilted to the side, almost forgetting that the male was sitting near-by her as she spoke. Another random thought the left her mind, though the idea of the thought was rather true with anything.

OOC: 'Tis alright. My posts aren't very good to start with, so you can have a craptacular one with no problem from me. ^_^
